Tyre replacement and care

Maintaining and replacing tyres on your novated lease vehicle

When you take out a novated lease with TFM, tyre replacement and care may be included in your lease package. This guide explains how to replace or repair your tyres, where to go, and how payment works.

Replacing and repairing your tyres

When your vehicle needs replacement tyres, puncture repairs or other tyre services, visit one of our approved tyre outlets. All tyres must be a like-for-like replacement (same make and specification as those fitted when your vehicle was manufactured).

TFM approved tyre outlets:

  • Bob Jane T-Marts 132 625

  • Bridgestone 131 229

  • Goodyear 132 343

  • mycar 1300 772 579

During your booking process

When you book your tyre service, let the outlet know that your vehicle is managed under a novated lease with Toyota Fleet Management. This means that the outlet will need to call our Repair Authorisation Centre on 1300 888 871 to obtain approval before starting any work.

Payment

  • Using an approved outlet

  • If you book with a TFM-approved tyre outlet, you won’t need to pay. The outlet will invoice TFM directly.

  • Using an unapproved outlet

  • If you choose a qualified tyre outlet outside our network, you’ll need to pay directly and then claim reimbursement from TFM (See our Expense Reimbursement Process article for details).

Tyre care between and during services

  • Check tyre pressure regularly (about once a month) and before long trips.
  • Look for visible damage such as cuts, bulges or uneven wear.
  • Replace tyres before tread depth reaches the legal minimum (1.6 mm).
  • Ask your service provider to rotate your tyres.

Always follow your vehicle manufacturer's care and maintenance requirements for tyre use and replacement.
